I'm not sure if you've had a chance to read "Yes, Minister", though you've probably seen it on TV, but that's one book I have often repeated.

And P. G. Wodehouse. Much like Jeeves & Mr. Wooster, he stands alone.

    S!

Have u read any Margaret Atwood stuff. I'm currently reading The Blind Assassin. Please read that, its amazingly written. Also it won Booker in 2000.

Hip granma : Don't have your email id to send it to. yes it is a parody. he has written lots of them. While you are in the US , you may look around for some used copies if they are available.

Shruthi: I hope you liked the stuff I sent you.

Passerby: That was some vote of confidence. I do go to great lengths to avoid hurting people but I also need to know how not to be hurt by others. i think the key is not to allow anything to hurt you. I'd be miserable at it.

S: Yes, I have watched the serial and read the book. And have read a few chapters repeatedly. Sir Humphrey is just amazing! But 20 pages of PG is daily bedtime reading - guaranteed to sleep with a smile at the end of the rottenest day.

Ram: Will try them. Thank you.

Kishore: I like atwood a lot. No, have n't read Blind Assassin - will get hold of it soon.

Have you read The Kite Runner? I did recently and was really moved by it.
